this pattern is part of the from field to skin project. you can find out more about this super-local-to-me yarn (from my very own sponsorsheep tansy!) by visiting long way homestead, and listen to my interview with anna here and see clips from shearing day here.

your life is multi-facted, and you need your handmade wardrobe to reflect that fact. whether you’re taking your horse out on the trail or curling up with a third cup of coffee in the chilly autumn morning air, you want your knitwear to be as functional as it is beautiful. just as cedar can take many forms and be used in a multitude of ways, you want a go-to sweater pattern that you don’t need to question and that will reflect your life in every way, regardless of whether you’re in the city or the country on any given day.

this sister pattern to juniper fills the gap in your wardrobe where lighter layers are needed and buttons are desired. knit the shorter sleeved version if you always find yourself pushing your cuffs up to your elbows, or opt for longer sleeves if you love tucking your whole body into your cardigan in the morning.
